REI Coupon

Looking for an REI coupon? REI savings come from a few places: free U.S. standard shipping, REI Outlet markdowns, volume discounts on items like socks and snacks, and coupons that REI Co-op Members can access. REI's official coupons page currently lists no public offer codes, so check each code's terms before you rely on it.

Before applying a coupon, check which items it covers. Codes tied to REI Outlet apply only to Outlet items, and REI's volume discounts apply only to full-price products. Other discounts can also lower your pre-tax subtotal below the $100 free shipping threshold for non-members.

REI Co-op Members get free U.S. standard shipping with no minimum order, while other customers get it on orders with a pre-tax subtotal of $100 or more. Free shipping covers standard shipping to U.S. addresses, including APO and FPO, and oversize charges still apply to heavy or large items. REI free shipping terms.

How to Compare REI Coupons and Sale Prices

At REI, a coupon is only one way to save, and the lowest price often comes from a markdown or a member benefit instead.

• REI Outlet runs limited sales, such as up to 60% off handpicked Outlet deals through October 6, 2026.
• Sale items show the original and the sale price in your cart, along with the date the sale ends.
• Volume discounts take 10% off when you buy 3 or more pairs of full-price socks or 10 or more full-price snack foods.
• Non-members pay for standard shipping under $100, so compare the Order total, not only the item price.

Compare the Order total in your cart for the exact items before you decide which offer to use.

What to Check Before an REI Order

For an REI order, the terms that change your final cost are shipping, membership and the return window.

• Members get free U.S. standard shipping on any order, and non-members need a $100 pre-tax subtotal.
• Members can return eligible items within 365 days of purchase, and non-members within 90 days.
• Outdoor electronics have a 90-day return window for everyone.
• Mail returns with the prepaid REI label have $7.99 deducted from the refund, while store returns are free.

If you shop at REI often, compare the one-time $30 membership cost with the shipping and return benefits.

How to Redeem an REI Coupon

To redeem an REI coupon, follow the steps below.

① On the product page, choose your options and tap "Add to cart".

② In the "Added to Cart" window, tap "Cart & Checkout".

③ In your cart, review the Order summary: Subtotal, Standard Shipping and Order total.

④ REI notes "Coupons can be applied in checkout.", so tap "Proceed to checkout" and enter your coupon code during checkout.

The REI cart has no coupon field, so the code goes in at checkout. Check that the discount appears in the order total before you place the order.

Why an REI Coupon May Not Work

An REI coupon can be valid and still fail on a specific order, because most codes cover a narrow set of items.

• The code was entered in the cart, but REI accepts coupons only in checkout.
• The code is for REI Outlet items, and your cart holds regular-priced gear.
• The code is meant for REI Co-op Members, and you are checking out without your member account.
• The item is a gift card, membership, rental or shop service, which REI excludes from many offers.
• The code has expired, since REI codes are usually tied to a single sale period.

Check the order total for the exact items before paying instead of assuming the code covers the whole cart.

REI Coupon & Sale-Item Strategy

REI separates its savings: volume discounts apply only to full-price items, Outlet codes apply only to REI Outlet products, and sale prices are already reduced in your cart. For a mixed order, check which items each offer covers, keep the $100 free shipping threshold in mind if you are not a member, and compare the order total at checkout before you pay.
