Gap sells denim, sweaters, tees, outerwear and pajamas for women, men, kids and babies, plus GapX collaborations. A Gap Promo Code is entered in the Promos box of your Shopping Bag, but many Gap savings need no code: sale styles show an extra percentage off that is taken at checkout, and the Holiday Kickoff Event takes 40 to 60% off PJs, accessories and more on select styles.

Before you enter a code, check what is already applied. The Bag lists every applied promo under Promos, and a code is not counted when the items in your bag are excluded from it. Exclusions apply to the app offer and most sitewide events, so read each offer's Details link.

Gap ships to all U.S. states, U.S. territories and APO and FPO addresses. Basic shipping takes 5 to 8 business days and costs $7.50 for nonmembers, while Encore members get free Basic shipping on orders of $50 or more. Gap shipping and handling information.

How to Compare Gap Promo Codes and Sale Prices

Gap savings come from sale pricing, extra percentages taken at checkout, app offers and Encore rewards.

• Compare the sale price on the product page with the extra percentage shown under it, such as "Extra 50% off at checkout".
• Check the Promos list in your Bag, since automatic promos are already counted in the Est. Total.
• Compare the Holiday Kickoff Event prices on PJs and accessories with the same item outside the event.
• Check whether the Gap app's extra 10% off applies to your items before switching to the app.

The lowest Est. Total in your Bag is the best deal, not the largest headline percentage.

What to Check Before a Gap Order

Check the delivery and return terms for the order along with the discount.

• Online purchases can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of the delivery date; Premier members get up to 45 days and All-Access Cardmembers up to 60 days.
• Returns in store are free, returns by mail are free for Encore members, and nonmembers pay a $6 fee for mail returns.
• Final sale items cannot be returned or exchanged.
• The Bag notes that items on gap.com cannot be ordered or shipped outside North America.

How to Redeem a Gap Promo Code

To redeem a Gap promo code, follow the steps below.

① On the product page, select your size and click "Add to Bag".

② Click the shopping bag icon at the top right to open your Bag.

③ In your Bag, check the item, size and color.

④ In the Promos box, enter your code in "Enter Promo Code" and click "Apply".

⑤ Check that the promo appears under Applied Promos.

⑥ Check the Est. Total in the Order Summary before you click "Checkout".

Check the total before checkout, so you know the code was accepted.

Why a Gap Promo Code May Not Work

A Gap code can be live and still fail on your Bag for a few reasons.

• The items in your bag do not qualify, for example sale styles that are excluded from the offer.
• The offer is limited to Encore Cardmembers or to the Gap app.
• The code has expired or was replaced by the next event.
• The order ships outside North America, where gap.com does not deliver.
• The code was typed with a typo or an extra space.

If a code is rejected, the automatic promos already listed in your Bag may still give the lower total.
